Right now we are developing procedures and techniques for utilizing the Cool Laser Lipo System some of which is appropriate for use on the face. The CoolTouch Laser has been around for a long time and actually it has been used for facial skin tightening externally, but the company has come to me to help the teaching center for other physicians and to develop the technology of tightening the tissue from the inside as well as doing liposuction, so now we are applying that technology in some of my facelifting procedures, as we talked about earlier in order to help tighten the skin from the inside as well as to help dissolve any unwanted fatty areas and help get that skin smoother and tighter with less invasive procedures. What is interesting about the CoolTouch is that it is only a 1 mm cannula that is inserted under the skin and helps break up the fatty deposits that are unwarranted, but also helps tighten the skin from the laser energy light that is being emitted from underneath the surface of the skin. The previous CoolTouch Laser was one that was applied on the outside of the skin and that helped tighten the skin over a period of time. Laser liposuction has gotten a lot of play in the press lately and the Cool Laser is the latest evolution of that. The company has actually come to my office to have me be a teaching center for other physicians who want to learn this technology, so we are therefore pioneering this type of technology and expanding its usages and its efficacy for minimally invasive type procedures.
